Newcastle-u-Lyme College was used by the senior men's team as a training venue in the early years of the club. When the college relocated to it's current site, the opportunity was taken to again forge links between the club, the college and Volleyball England, to establish a satellite academy. This was an obvious move as most of our junior players were taking various courses and studying at the college, and the college were able to benefit by entering, and finding success with, both boys and girls volleyball teams in the British Colleges Sport League. Our vision is that this will further improve the development of our Under 18s players through increased participation and competition, encourage more students to further their education locally, help the college to develop their sporting achievements, as well as being a local talent pool.
