Social Volleyball

Social Volleyball was set up about 4 years ago, filling the gap for those who don't want vigorous training and weekly league matches, but do like to play volleyball.

The background of the current social volleyball members varies greatly, from former players with national league experience, to those who are complete beginners, without any training or experience at all. Some of us have picked up the skills by just playing.

So whether you are a beginner or a seasoned player, we welcome everyone! There is usually somebody around who will give a one-to-one introduction to absolute beginners, and the rest you pick up while joining in.

We play from 6.30 p.m. - 8 p.m., every Wednesday, at Madeley High School sports hall. We even play when the school is on holiday! And in summer we put out courts outside, as well as inside - weather permitting!

We also enter a men's team, and a ladies team in the local league every year, where we play against the NSVC U16 teams, local Colleges, local universities, and other local teams; great fun and great competition!

Your first session is free, after that, all we ask is 3.50 every time you come, to help to cover costs.

Don't be shy; everybody who wants to learn, can learn to play volleyball!

Come and have a go!
