Regional Round

By far the youngest side in the East/West Midlands Regional Round, the NSVC team managed to take 2nd place to qualify for the Divisional round in March.

Meg Viggars Moves to France

Meg viggars has just signed the second pro contract of her volleyball career with a team in France. Following huge success with Southern Illinois Salukis in the American University League, which led to a pro contact with Czech Republic team 'KP Brno', she will now be playing in Haute Normandie, Northern France for Evreux.

Club Awards Evening and Race Night

Our annual Club Awards Night was combined with a fund raising Race Night this year. It happened on Friday 19th May, 2017 at The Madeley Centre. There were a lot of people there, club members old and new. We hope that you all had a great night! And a huge thanks to all those who helped with the food!

Club AGM

The Club's Annual General Meeting is happening on Thursday May 4th, 2017, at Keele University. As always anyone is welcome to attend the AGM, but there is a trustees meeting being held afterwards for just the club trustees. Due to time constraints people attending the AGM but not involved in trustees meeting afterwards will have to leave promptly at the end of the AGM. Please bear this in mind if you come along to the AGM.

U14 and U16 Girls Success at Tameside

Congratulations go out to all the Under 14 and Under 16 Girls who recently competed in a friendly tournament at Tameside. The Under 14 'B' Team finished 5th, with the Under 14 'A' Team finishing runners up. There are a few photos of the Under 14 teams here.

Glow in the Dark Event

The club recently ran a 'Glow In The Dark' event to raise funds for the club and to help Flossie Owen to fund her trip to the Rio Olympics this summer as a volunteer. Pleaseclick here to read Flossies' article, andclick here to view photos from the event.

Club achieves Charity status

Thanks to a great deal of hard work by Will Roberts, the club is now a registered charity.

Ladies safe in NVL Division 2

The Ladies played their last NVL match of the season away against Coventry Riga. With NSVC desperately wanting to maintain their div 2 position, losing was not an option.

Great play saw a comfortable 3-0 win for the Ladies, who secured their place in NVL Division 2 for next season.

Men's 1st Team in Shield Final

The Men's National Shield Final recently took place at The National Volleyball Centre, Kettering. Our men's 1st team played against Solent, a fellow NVL Division 1 team, and unfortunately narrowly lost a close 5 set match.

Club Represented at Rio 2016

Following a successful application to the Olympic Organising Committee, the club's own Flossie Owen will be part of the volunteer force at Rio 2016. She has been selected to be part of the Field of Play team, meaning that she will spend her working shifts courtside, with one of the best views of the highest quality volleyball that you can get!

Well Done Flossie! Enjoy the experience!
